Mr Umesh Kumar an Indian descent came in France in 2014 with Network "n+i".



He completed a six-month internship at Hager Group in Obernai as part of his master’s degree in Automation & Systems and his training at ENSISA.

This gave him the opportunity to acquire practical experience at a company, while the Hager Group in turn benefited from Mr Kumar’s extensive technical knowledge and his expertise in the field of electromagnetism.

After completing his internship, Umesh Kumar was offered a permanent position as an engineer in the Research and Development department.

Since September 2016, he has been supporting the department with the development of electrotechnical sub-assemblies and the validation of finished products.

It is a 5-month program to prepare you for the job of researcher with 2 months seminar in Paris on the governance of research (ethics, societal responsibility of the researcher, data security, how to publish, patents, communication, bibliographical research ...) followed by 3 months of research internship in the laboratory that wishes to enroll you in thesis (more than 40 cities).

After a successful FIER-DOC, your thesis can be financed by:

  • your university,
  • your country's scholarship agency,
  • the French government with an Eiffel doctorate scholarship,
  • a french company scholarship.

The procedure is simple, with only one electronic form you will can apply to 50 institutes. You must have a minimum degree of Bachelor, Btech, BEng, BSc, Benke, Licienciatura, etc.

  • Complete your electronic form online
  • upload the authenticated documents
  • Pay (online) €50 of administrative fees

Then
  • Accept, at least one interview from "n+i"
  • Take the MCQ test in mathematics on January 14th, 2017

As your application will be created you will be informed continuously (on your "n+i" page) of the progress of your application .

The proposal of the institutes will be given from February 3rd, 2017.

Materials engineers possess a wide range of skills and work in a multidisciplinary approach, as they are involved in every step of the manufacturing process of the material they specialize in, from design to production and use. In addition, they must take economic and environmental issues into account.

In 2016, the recruitment via the Network "n+i" counted 39 % of women that is + 8 % compared with 2015. Since almost 20 years it is more than 35 % on average.

This can be understandable by the quality, the motivation, the skills of the candidates but also, partially, by all the services and the performances which proposes the Network "n+i" who reassure studying them and the family: welcome(reception) at the airport, the opening of the French bank account, the insurances, the accommodation, the French course before the beginning of the training of Master's degree, half-year of academic and methodological adaptation, assistance all year round till the graduation, etc.

The Network "n+i" is proud to be chosen by women who succeed in the high scientific and technological studies.

A delegation from the Brawijaya University of Indonesia led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Arief PRAJITNO (Vice rector of student affairs) met in Paris on November 4th Professor Trotignon Director of Network "n+i". This mission followed that of April 2015.

The goal was to continue the exchange of information on possible academic cooperation between the two countries.

From 2 to 9 October 2016: A delegation of the Network "n+i" (EIVP, ENSIC, ENSAE Paris Tech, Polytech University Paris Saclay) led by its Director Jean Pierre Trotignon was able to meet, in Washington, the main organizations of universities (NAFSA, IIE, NCURA, APLU, ...) and two universities including GWU.

This visit was organized with the support of the Embassy of France.

The Network "n+i" was able to measure interest, besides the masters programs, to:

  • International Bachelor (mobility semester of 5 months in France for a Bachelor)
  • FIER French Experience in Innovative Research (mobility of a "research" semester of 5 months)

Network “n+i” welcomed a Mexican delegation from the research center and advanced studies, CINVESTAV, on July 6 and 7, 2016.

CINVESTAV, that will open a new master in the field of transport in February 2017, visited the campuses of 2 “n+i” engineering institutes: ESTACA in the city of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and ENSIAME in Valenciennes.
Network “n+i” and CINVESTAV exchanged about future academic and research collaborations in the field of rail transport.





Network "n+i" participated to the forum on the academic cooperation between France and the Philippines on June 20-22, 2016, in Manila.

This visit to the Philippines was the occasion to introduce Network "n+i" to Filipino students and to meet with more than 10 Philippine universities in order to exchange on future academic and research collaborations.

Network "n+i" also had the opportunity to meet with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) that offers scholarships to faculties from the Philippines that want to pursue masteral or doctoral studies abroad.

This year, "n+i" students from batch 2015 were invited to participate to a Competition of Testimonies.

Participants had the choice to present their "n+i" personal experience the way they would like to, through a video, a poem, music, drawing, comics, etc.
Among the proposal received, the jury selected 5 finalists.

The first prize « n+i » - Société Générale of €1000 was awarded to Mr CARDENAS SARABIA Cristian Geovanny from Universidad Central del Ecuador (Ecuador), student in ENSIC.



Société Générale awarded a finalist prize of €500 to: Mr NIE Junjie from Shanghai University (China) student in Arts et Métiers and Mrs ISMAILOVA Dilyaram from Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan) student in HEI.

April international awarded a finalist prize of €500 to: Mr BAU Plinio from UFRGS (Brazil), student in ENSEEIHT and Mr LINDO SIADO JASON DE JESUS from Uninorte (Colombia), student in ENSMM.

Only applicants with a completed electronic form will able to participate to the official MCQ test of Session 4.

Important: a training MCQ is available only for applicants with a completed electronic form.

The deadline to complete the application is May 8th, 2016.
